Jonathan S. Miller Music

Jonathan Miller is currently the Director of Bands at Robert B. Glenn High school, a post he has held since 2005. Before teaching at Glenn, Mr. Miller taught for four years at Leonardtown High School in St. Mary's County in Southern Maryland. At both these schools Mr. Miller's teaching reponsibilities included teaching band, jazz, chorus, orchestra, music theory, music appreciation, piano, guitar as well as serving as director and music director of several musicals. 

Mr. Miller graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Indiana, Pennsylvania: 2001 BS Music Education where he studied Trumpet with Calvin Weber, Steve Dube and Kevin Eisensmith. While at IUP Mr. Miller studied Conducting with Jack Stamp and Composition with Daniel Perlongo.

Mr. Miller has dozens of children's songs published by Close Encounters Ministires who have distributed his music for performance throughout the world.

In addition his solo works for Tenor Saxophone have been published by Effiiny Music Publishing.

Mr. Miller lives in Winston-Salem NC, is a deacon at Bethany United Church of Christ, and shares his life with his beautiful wife Becky, daughter Charlotte,  son Evan, and standard poodle Polly.
